Learn how to hand-build clay works of art with your partner, or create one-of-a-kind pieces all your own! Students will learn how to make coiled pots or vases out of clay, along with techniques to create trivets. Bring a significant other, a great friend, or enjoy some peace to work independently. The first class will cover molding the clay, while the second class will cover glazing and kiln firing.

Come & create something useful for the home… a set of two seasonal coasters. Choose from three designs: either a frosty little snowman, cute penguins in the snow, or snow covered pine trees…. OR use your own creativity & design your own. Glass cutting experience not necessary.

Whip up some kitchen chemistry in our playful Italian Wedding Soup class! Join your friends from Fox Hallow Kitchen as you roll tiny meatballs, simmer a cozy broth, and toss in pasta and greens for the perfect flavor “match.” Fun, hands-on, and delicious—come stir up a little culinary romance in every bowl!

During this workshop, participants can expect to make beautiful art using bleach. Students will be using bleach on a black shirt and baseball cap to create a unique orange/off white effect, perfect for a special summer look! Gloves and eye protection will be provided. All materials are provided— please provide your t-shirt size at registration! (Bring a pair of jeans if desired.) Wear old clothing.

Minding the cold this winter? Learn to knit making a hat to keep you a little warmer. Students will learn to cast on and knit/purl using a circular needle. The hat is made in the round with chunky yarn so there’s no seaming necessary. This workshop will include pattern, yarn and knitting needles for you to keep.

Take one day to escape from the hustle and bustle of life, reduce stress, and anxiety by engaging in the focused fun of coloring. Each student will receive a coloring book and pack of colored pencils to keep. They will learn the coloring techniques of blending, cross-hatching, hatching, stippling, burnishing, and layering. Coloring activates the part of the brain responsible for creativity and stimulates the production of dopamine, a neurotransmitter associated with pleasure and relaxation.

Looking for a special night to celebrate love and friendship? In this date night class you and your partner will build your own heart shaped pom pom wreath! Design & make beautiful one-of-a-kind jewelry, such as necklaces, earrings & pins. Add accents to your creations with frit, stringers, confetti, and more. Add a touch of glitz & sparkle to your piece by adding dichroic glass. Jewelry trinkets, such as chains, loops & pin backs, are available for an additional fee of $5, payable to CAC. All other supplies included.

In this class you will make a modern abstract blobbed shape framed mirror. Using cardboard, paper mache/clay and a lot of creativity to bring home this statement piece that you’ll be able to say you made it yourself! Please note that the final project will have a more natural/organic look due to the air dry clay! (Teens 14+ may also register.)
