The Community Arts Center takes your child’s welfare seriously. All of our instructors and staff have their PA Clearances… even the ones that don’t teach the children. We want to be a fun and safe place for all who come to us!

To register by phone, please call the Community Arts Center at (814) 255-6515. When registering by phone or in-person, you will either need to still fill out the Google Form, or fill out a physical copy of the form at the Arts Center.

For online class payments, a small surcharge has been applied.

In Person / Phone: Give us a call at (814) 255-6515 or stop in at the Arts Center to register over the phone or in person. Paper copies of the registration form will be available at the front desk for in person camp registrations.

Music Makers

In this loud and lively camp, your young musician will discover their inner music as they use a variety of everyday items as percussion instruments to create a Stomp band, garbage cans, brooms, car parts, plastic buckets, water bottles, or even pots and pans. Campers will use movement to feel the beat and learn how important it is to have a continuous and reliable beat in music. They will utilize other percussion instruments for inspiration and then make their own instruments. Fun Day Friday will include a demonstration and lesson in drum circle and African dance movement, which focuses on the drumming beat. Then campers will create their own music video to watch and have sent to their families.

Hand-Building & Wheel Thrown Pottery

August 3 - 7 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM OR 2:00 - 5:00 PM

M: $130 NM: $150

Campers will learn the basics of wheel-thrown pottery, and learn about clay, working on a wheel, prepping clay, centering clay, lifting, pulling clay into a clay cylinder, making pots, using pottery tools, and glazing! Campers are asked to please bring a towel with them and wear old clothes, as they will get messy! No open toed shoes or flip flops or long fingernails, please. There are two timeframe options for this camp! Please specify which timeframe you’d like at registration.
