The Community Arts Center takes your child’s welfare seriously. All of our instructors and staff have their PA Clearances… even the ones that don’t teach the children. We want to be a fun and safe place for all who come to us!
To register by phone, please call the Community Arts Center at (814) 255-6515. When registering by phone or in-person, you will either need to still fill out the Google Form, or fill out a physical copy of the form at the Arts Center.
For online class payments, a small surcharge has been applied.

Paint all the amazing magical creatures you could possibly imagine! This week, campers will let their imaginations run wild as they learn about mythical creatures like dragons, unicorns, griffins, and more. They will create their own magical creature projects and painting activities. Campers will learn the differences in watercolor, tempera, and acrylic paints.

In this texture and tactile themed camp, all projects and activities will unleash campers’ inner 3D creations. Through the use of clay, Model Magic, plaster, wood, plastics, and found materials, campers will make one-of-a-kind sculptures while learning basic clay hand-building skills.

This week, campers will explore the mysteries of the ocean and learn about marine life. Glass, glass-adjacent, and iridescent items will be used to create captivating Under the Sea works of art. (Glass items will be smooth and safe for little hands.) Activities include creating underwater-themed art projects, learning how to use glass and iridescent items to capture natural light, learning about ocean conservation, and snorkeling in a classroom scavenger hunt.

Let your wild side show during this Animal Kingdom FREE WEEK. This week, campers will learn about a wide variety of animals and their habitats. They will create their own safari gear, animal puppets, and use interesting multimedia textures to create their very own lantern.
*Camp this week is sponsored by EITC funding! Campers MUST still fill out the registration form, same as with any other camp. If this form is not filled out, campers will be placed on a waiting list instead of the registration list. For online registration, a $3 registration fee applies. You must still complete both steps of the online registration process in order to be considered registered for the camp. To avoid the fee, give us a call to sign up and fill out a registration form in person!

It’s Music Fest time! This week, campers will explore the world of music, including learning about different instruments, and musical notes, and making their very own instruments. Camp will culminate with a sing-along/ mock music festival. They will also learn about famous musicians, musical notes, tempos/rhythm, and create their own windchime to enjoy nature’s music all summer long!

This exciting acting camp will allow your shining star to burn bright as they unleash their creativity and “wright” their own play. This special Secret Agent themed camp allows campers to develop their own special character and through the use of improv, characterization and fundamental acting skills, the campers will develop their own one-of-a-kind unique mystery play. Campers will come up with interesting detective skills to create an exciting mystery that they will perform on the last day of camp. Campers will also build and create some of their own play props to be used in their play. Parents are invited to watch the campers perform their play on July 18th at 1:00 PM.

This fashion design camp combines the fun of pirates and mermaids with campers learning about seafaring history and making unique items they can wear. Simple clothing items and accessories will be created. Campers will create three wearable clothing items from beginning to end, all while being inspired by the fashions of pirates and amazing atmosphere of mermaids under the sea.

Delve into the far away past with this Medieval Times camp. This week, campers will be transported back to the Middle Ages, where they can learn about knights, castles, and primitive society. Campers will draw and create a mini medieval sports arena, along with crowns and/or knights’ helmets to cut out and wear. They will learn about medieval history and culture, while making historic weapons (soft and non-harmful) for their mock jousting tournament.

Campers will explore the globe during this camp! Campers will travel to a different location each day: Africa, China, Australia, France, and Japan. They will learn about the areas culture and history, as well as famous artists and artistic styles which emerged from these regions. They will make a special travel suitcase to keep their camp treasures in, and create a special piece of art based on the culture and traditions of the locations they travel.
