The Community Arts Center takes your child’s welfare seriously. All of our instructors and staff have their PA Clearances… even the ones that don’t teach the children. We want to be a fun and safe place for all who come to us!
To register by phone, please call the Community Arts Center at (814) 255-6515. When registering by phone or in-person, you will either need to still fill out the Google Form, or fill out a physical copy of the form at the Arts Center.
For online class payments, a small nonrefundable surcharge has been applied.

Teens will learn the basics of clay hand-building pottery. They will learn all about clay, prepping clay, lifting, different hand-building techniques, pulling clay into a clay cylinder, making pots, using pottery tools, and glazing! They complete at least three projects during this four-day camp. Campers will have the option to come back on another designated day to glaze their creations. Campers are asked to please bring a towel with them and wear old clothes, as they will get messy! No open-toed shoes or flip flops or long fingernails, please.

Teens will learn the art of glass fusion, where they cut, layer, and unleash their creative juices to make a variety of projects. Projects include nightlight, jewelry or keychains, garden sculpture, and set of coasters. Glass cutting experience is not necessary and all safety gear is provided.

Back by popular demand, Broadway Show Choir camp will include a variety of Broadway and musical songs from popular and classic theatrical shows, broadening the scope of performance knowledge for attendees. Campers will learn 10 different songs, and a variety of performance choreography, movement, and stage presences. Campers will grow and stretch their vocal range, while diversifying their performance abilities and the art of listening to each other when singing in a group, singing different music parts, blending, sustaining notes, and breathing techniques. At the end of this camp, there will be a mini concert on Friday, June 26th at 2:00 PM for friends and family to attend. (This camp is a great way to get prepared for future musical auditions!)

Instructor rs will learn the process of mosaics by sketching out a design or pattern, glue the pieces onto their project surface, apply grout, and then polish. This includes using a variety of tools such as wheeled nippers, running pliers, and pistol grip glass cutters. Campers will choose from a variety of mosaic projects such as a tray, candle holders, turtle, their initial, or a piece of furniture. They will have the choice to select from glass, ceramic tiles, pottery shards, beads, buttons, mirrors, shells, or pebbles. Each camper will get to create a number of pieces based on how detailed they make each project’s design pattern. (Safety equipment such as safety glasses and gloves will be provided.)
*Camp this week is sponsored by EITC funding! Campers MUST still fill out the registration form, same as with any other camp. If this form is not filled out, campers will be placed on a waiting list instead of the registration list. For online registration, a $3 registration fee applies. You must still complete both steps of the online registration process in order to be considered registered for the camp. To avoid the fee, give us a call to sign up and fill out a registration form in person!

Campers with no stained glass experience will create a one of a kind glass panel piece while learning the basic skills of pattern and glass preparation, cutting, foiling, soldering, and patina. All supplies and equipment are provided. Closed toed shoes are required, and no long fingernails and wear a long sleeve shirt please.

Based on the hit 1994 Disney movie and Broadway musical, Disney’s The Lion King, JR. is the timeless tale of Simba, a young lion born to be king, who is forced to flee after the death of his father, Mufasa. On the outskirts of the kingdom, Simba learns about identity, family, responsibility, and what he has to do in order to make things right for the Pride Lands. Featuring classic songs like “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King,” “Circle of Life” and “Hakuna Matata,” the entire family will enjoy the perfect theatrical spectacle that is The Lion King, JR.
Disney's The Lion King has captivated the imagination of audiences around the world, and now you have the opportunity to produce this one-of-a-kind musical in your community. This specially tailored Platinum Contemporary Combo Dance camp is ideal for the advanced dancer who wants to emphasize technical proficiency, artistic maturity, and high-level performance. While still adhering to traditional studio dance, this camp will focus on creativity in modern, jazz, ballet, improvisation, and musical theatre dance. Attendees will be pushed to explore their own unique style, while diving into smooth, stretchy movement, powerful leaps, expressive storytelling, and grounding techniques that make dancers feel connected to the music—and the floor. During this five-day camp, participate in playful exercises, dynamic combinations, and guided improv. A short performance of dance combinations will be featured at the end of the week for family and friends.

Campers will utilize digital software and the Arts Center’s Glowforge laser-cutter and engraver to create a variety personalized custom projects including an acrylic multi-color lamp, keychains, and a paper lamp. After customizing each piece, they will assemble the projects over this four-day camp. Each project will include the necessary accessories and components to complete the working lamps, keychains, etc.
