Concentrated Courses

What is a concentrated course?

  • Class meets once a week for four weeks
  • Focuses on one dance only
  • Multiple step patterns are taught
  • A routine format is utilized for quick learning and retention
  • Classes are all one hour in length

What is the purpose of a concentrated course?

  • To bring a new dance into your repertoire quickly
  • To refresh a dance you do not remember as well
  • To add new steps to a favorite dance
  • To achieve a new level of learning in only 4 classes

Frequently Asked Questions:

How many concentrated courses can I take?

  • We recommend that you take a least one course per month; however, you may take as many as you feel comfortable with at a time! You may even take multiple courses on the same night.

How many students are in a class?

  • A maximum of six couples will be accepted per class with a minimum of three couples to encourage proper attention to learning.

What if I don't have a consistent schedule from week to week?

  • Try a private lesson package. Fill out our inquiry form lower on this page to let us know you're interested, and we can tailor private lessons to what dances you want to learn, and what fits your schedule best!

What should I wear to dance class?

  • It is suggested that ladies should skirts, dresses, or slacks that provide for easy movement, and men should wear button-down shirts or polo shirts with a collar and dress slacks or Dockers. Neither men nor women should wear jeans or shorts. (But these are not requirements.)

Do I need to purchase special shoes?

  • Special dance shoes are not required. Women and men should wear dress shoes that will easily slide on a wooden floor. Please do not wear flip-flops or sandals without a strap.

Why is the pricing different online?

  • All online class payments include a small surcharge to cover PayPal processing fees. To avoid the extra fee, you can sign up over the phone (814-255-6515) or in person and pay with cash or check.

When Allenna is not dancing, she takes care of a 2-year-old little boy, working on furthering her education in Early Childhood Education, travels to new places, working on her new book, has found a new love for playwriting, acting in plays, creating dance choreography, or stage managing for Log Arts Theatre Academy, along with hanging out with her family, friends, and her fur baby Maizey. Allenna can't wait to share her love and passion of dance with her students and hopes they will find a love for dance as much as she has!
